The Role

The People Partner reports to the People Partner Manager and sits in our People, Safety & Culture team, accountable for partnering with the business to provide expert, solution focused advice and people planning expertise.

Some of the things you’ll be responsible for include:

  • Build effective and trusted relationships with stakeholders to gain and maintain business knowledge and become a sought-after partner for strategic advice, support, solutions and coaching on all people matters.
  • Undertake the position of lead change agent to successfully embed the people partnering model to a designated portfolio.
  • Consult and guide leaders to deliver workforce planning and talent management activities.
  • Coach, advise and facilitate delivery of cultural and engagement initiatives.
  • Provide timely, accurate and effective support, coaching and feedback to leaders in managing their people including performance, development and health and wellbeing.
  • Provide practical and commercial employee relation advice to leaders to assist in the management and resolution of complex people issues.

What we're looking for

To be successful you will need to be an experienced human resources business partner with exposure to medium or large organisations.

The key skills we are looking for include:

  • Highly developed influencing, negotiating and critical analytical skills with a proven ability to build relationships with a broad stakeholder base.
  • Demonstrated employee leadership and management competency with experience in effectively translating business objectives and strategies into people plans that drive business performance.
  • Practical HR experience across leadership development, succession planning, performance development, talent management, workforce planning, employee/industrial relations, and culture and engagement.
  • Extensive HR Business Partnering experience within medium to large organisations at senior leadership levels.
  • Highly developed organisational and project management skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines.

The Details

This role can be based in either Launceston or Devonport and attracts a salary of $120,000 - $142,000 (inclusive of superannuation). You can review the PD here.
