The Opportunity

Come join our team and make a real contribution to where you live, by operating and maintaining our assets so that safe and reliable water and wastewater services can be provided to the communities on the stunning Tasmanian East Coast.

We are flexible with your location and open to candidates living in or near places such as Orford, Triabunna, Swansea, Coles Bay and Bicheno.

The role is open to both skilled tradespeople and operators, as well as those who may not have worked in this type of role before, but who have great customer service skills, who are handy at repairs and maintenance, and who love giving back to their community.

The salary will be dependent on your skills, qualifications and experience, and ranges from $74 – 89K (base plus superannuation). You’ll also have the opportunity to boost your salary by performing on call and overtime. Your day may look like this...

  • Working with team members to operate and repair water and sewer networks and treatment plants.
  • Undertaking preventative maintenance on water and sewer assets.
  • Assessing and reporting on asset condition.
  • Completing operational records including work logs and data entry tasks.
  • Participating in on-call and planned overtime rosters and respond to emergency call-out situations.

Your Application

We are looking for both experienced Operators/Tradespeople and those without formal qualifications or experience, but who have great customer service skills, who are handy at repairs and maintenance, and who love giving back to their community. We're open to all types of practical experience.
