About Us

FanDuel is an innovative sports-tech entertainment company that is changing the way consumers engage with their favorite sports, teams, and leagues. We are the premier gaming destination in the United States with a growing presence here in Australia. The company is based in New York but has offices in Melbourne (alongside our Sportsbet counterparts), California and New Jersey.

FanDuel is a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment, the world's largest sports betting and gaming operator with a portfolio of globally recognized brands and traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: FLUT).

The Role

As a Risk Analyst , you’ll be part of a team that monitors and analyses betting activity across a wide range of sporting events. Using sound judgment and an analytical mindset, you’ll help strike the right balance between managing risk and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Your ability to interpret patterns in customer behaviour, spot trends, and make smart, data-driven decisions will be key. Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and clear, empathetic communication are essential as is the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Whether you're a sports enthusiast, a curious problem solver, or someone who naturally thinks in terms of probability and outcomes, this role offers a chance to apply your interests in a real-time, high-impact setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor customer activity and betting patterns, supporting smarter Customer Risk Management strategies.

  • Manage liability and respond to alerts and suspensions as they arise.

  • Help shape and track team performance metrics to support strong decision-making.

  • Own risk reporting at both team and individual levels.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and global partners to enhance operational processes and share insights.

  • Contribute to our Price Assurance strategy, helping the team meet performance KPIs.

  • Build strong working relationships and support a collaborative, feedback-driven environment.

  • Over time, provide mentorship and help guide team efficiency and quality.

We offer a flexible five-day work week, including rotating weekends (generally between 7am–6pm), to support a healthy work-life balance.

About You

You might be an avid sports fan, someone who follows multiple codes, or simply someone who enjoys using data to uncover insights. You may already understand betting markets, or you might be intrigued by how odds and outcomes work behind the scenes. If you're analytical, curious, and thrive in dynamic team settings, this could be the perfect fit.

You’ll bring:

  • A strong understanding of numbers, probability, and basic statistics

  • Proficiency in Excel and general computer literacy

  • High attention to detail and the ability to stay focused under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach

  • A willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to team success

We don’t expect anyone to walk in the door and know everything at the start, so we take our training seriously and make sure that the successful candidate is well supported. This role is a hybrid position that has ability to work from home but at the start of your role, we require most days to be in the office to help with training and onboarding.

The Perks & Benefits

Along with a highly competitive salary plus a performance based annual bonus of 15%, you’ll get:

  • 25 days annual leave (a whole extra week of holidays!)
  • Genuine flexible working working policy with an $500 allowance to get your home office set up
  • Daily fresh fruit, sparkling water and Kombucha on tap FREE in the office
