About the role

Reporting into the Sports Risk Team Lead, the successful candidate will be required to analyse trends and patterns and be able to communicate these to relevant stakeholders via reports and presentations which will in turn drive business outcomes. You will monitor betting markets, profile/segment customers, build relationships, connect the risk team with the wider business and optimise company performance. Integrity, modesty, and collaboration are key values in the risk team.

Some of your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Monitor customer betting and market prices
• Bet acceptance
• Customer profiling
• Liability management
• Relationship building with relevant internal stakeholders
• P&L performance reporting & optimisation
• Identify and remove customer pain points
• Identify & resolve pricing & settlement errors
• Delivering against KPI’s day-in-day-out

The Risk & Trading team at Sportsbet adopt a flexible 5 day working week policy based on customer needs to ensure a great work-life balance for our staff, however there is a requirement for weekend work (rotating roster). Shifts will generally fall between 7am – 10pm.

Please note, this is a casual role open to university students where you will receive up to 24-32 hours per week.

About You

We’re looking for enthusiastic, proactive people to run the day-to-day operations. This role would suit those with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work calmly but efficiently under pressure.

If you are adaptable, well organised and enjoy being in the heart of the action this may be the role for you. Along with this, someone who has:

• Outstanding attention to detail and enjoys working with numbers (mathematically)
• Adaptable and able to multitask well for extended periods
• Enjoys rolling their sleeves up to get the job done whilst having fun along the way
• Strong collaborator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Passion and general understanding for all things racing and sport in Australia
• Experience in the wagering or racing industry will be highly regarded but not essential
