The role

The Customer Strategy, Insights and Experience Group sits within Customer and Community and is responsible for developing and delivering the overarching Business and Consumer Customer Strategy and the whole-of-business approach to improving the customer experience. The group is responsible for the channel design and user experience, customer data, research, insights, optimisation and reporting, customer focused improvements and strategic priorities.


The Project Manager works as part of a matrix style team in Customer Strategy, Insights and Experience Group (CSIE). The Project Manager role will be primarily responsible for leading the delivery of priority business & technology change projects for CSIE, with a focus on working with a third party to develop the Enterprise Customer Strategy and Roadmap.

Who are you?

In order to thrive in this twelve-month, fixed term role, candidates will possess a relevant degree, preferably in business, with skills in maths and statistics and strong business and commercial acumen. A minimum of five (5) years project management experience leading business and technology projects in a cross functional style organisation with a strong customer focus will put candidates at an advantage.

The remaining skills, knowledge and experience is also required for successful job performance:

  • Excellent knowledge of Program Management/Priority Delivery techniques from investment metrics, methodologies, frameworks, oversight and governance
  • Excellent communication skills with proven success in influencing business decisions and creating key messaging.
  • Proven experience in program and project performance reporting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of project delivery methodologies including PMBOK, Prince 2, PROSCI, Lean Six Sigma, Human Centered Design and agile methodologies.
  • Proven working knowledge to guide others in project management, risk management, change management, business analysis and benefit analysis.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively.
  • Experience in the government sector and an understanding of economic regulatory frameworks is advantageous, as is a business-related certification.
