About the job
Sodexo is currently seeking suitably qualified Casual Service Attendants – Mine Site Cleaning for the Village and Facilities Management Services at Weipa - Far North Queensland. This role is for a FIFO (fly in fly out) mine site cleaner however suitable candidates could also work across various areas including but not limited to housekeeping, dining room, laundry or kitchen hand.

Reporting to the Industrial Cleaning Supervisor, you will have excellent customer service skills, and ideally experience mine site cleaning, cleaning or housekeeping in an commercial or hospitability environment. Working on a casual basis, your point of hire will be Cairns and the local surrounding areas.

About you
- You must be prepared to be away from home for 2 weeks at a time

- You must have strong safety awareness and safe work ethic, as well as an exposure to, and understanding of, using, handling and storing chemicals safely.

• You will have a readiness to commit to working various shift times
• Previous experience working in a similar role environment will be advantagious
• You will have a positive attitude and excellent presentation.
• You will have loads of energy as the job will require you to be on your feet for long periods
• Current open manual licence and prior remote experience will be highly advantageous.
