Payroll Manager

The Opportunity
Ready to make an immediate impact? Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Payroll Manager is responsible for the running of the organisation's weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll ensuring compliance with all legislative and company requirements.
Other accountabilities will include providing reporting to support key business activities and statutory requirements – e.g. WGEA, Annual Remuneration Review, ABS, Payroll Tax.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage the reconciliation of payroll, payroll tax, superannuation and workers compensation insurance payments and authorised payroll deductions
- Ensure payments comply with the relevant Enterprise Agreements, as well as making sure any legislative changes are actioned accordingly
- Lead and develop members of the payroll function to deliver continuous skillset uplift and succession planning
- Maintenance and creation (when required) of payroll policies and procedures, ensuring they are implemented and understood by the payroll team and the broader business
- Maintain payroll system and data integrity, ensuring the system meets all audit requirements of processes and change controls
We are looking for:
- Extensive payroll experience, with proven ability to lead a team, including payroll experience in a listed business
- Strong systems knowledge in ADP Payforce, Kronos and Success Factors
- Advanced numeracy skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills
- The skills to analyse and present data in report form
- The ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards
