The Project Quality Engineer will be ensure that projects complies with contractual, customer-specific, project-relevant and company-internal quality requirements for the products and the processes used.
As a Project Quality Engineer, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
- Provide high level quality management support services to enable effective decision making and delivery of sound quality project outcomes;
- Contribute to the development of relevant division and project staff induction and training material;
- Guide project staff in the effective use of quality management systems and tools;
- Support the development and implementation of a business management system it relates to project and operational assurance requirements and processes;
- Prepare project quality reports and attend relevant project meetings;
- Support project level management system review meetings, including business level reviews and customer reviews;
- Develop and maintain product specific quality plans, Inspection and Control Plans, Test & Inspection Plans;
- Conduct and manage Failure, Deviation and Complaint Management across the projects assigned;
- Track the inspection, surveillance and records collation activities on individual vehicles and facilitate progressive assurance reviews with relevant stakeholders;
- Conduct, inspect and audit to assure that an acceptable level of build quality is achieved for the vehicles;
- Plan, coordinate and conduct acceptance tests (FAT/SAT);
- Analyse quality, operational data, inspection reports and other performance data to identify quality improvement needs;
- Create quality requirements for supplier contracts/commissions;
- Define and manage project related overall measures for quality improvement; and
- Provide quality assurance support and guidance to Engineering.
About your new team
Reporting to the Quality Manager - Planning, this role will work alongside a team of 6 Project Quality Engineers. The Quality team currently has close to 40 employees but continues to grow each month. The majority of the Quality team are based at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence in Redbank.
