We are currently looking for a Principal Traffic Engineer to join our team based at our Slough office. What you will be doing:
- Ensuring that projects are managed within their respective budgets
- Co-ordinating the issue of invoices and ensure the clients requirements are fulfilled
- Preparing proposals and estimates for new work
- Project managing/directing projects in accordance with Client requirements
- Providing technical direction on projects and high level advice on complex technical issues
- Contributing to the management of the Traffic Engineering Team
- Responding to Client and customer requests and enquiries and ensuring that their needs are met
- Working collaboratively with marketing and business development activity for the business unit
- Actively selling other aspects of Project Centre to Clients
- Managing a team of 4 employees of varying degrees of seniority
- To be the Client’s primary point of contact for projects managed within your business unit
What we are looking for:
- Relevant Degree or equivalent
- Alternative consideration given to significant relevant experience in lieu of specified education and professional qualification
- Comprehensive understanding of traffic and transportation techniques, highway design and transport planning principles and a proven track record in project design and delivery
- Preferably conversant with and/or intermediate user of CAD design software
- Good understanding of traffic and highway legislation
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant technical / industry / TfL standards
