This role is open to full time, part-time (60-100%) or job-sharing. You will be given the opportunity to join the forefront of the energy transition, by working on innovative solutions in the renewable energy industry. In this role you will be involved in Proa’s. This job will provide you a central role to build on the existing frontend and backend and challenge your development skills. Some of the activities that you will be part of include:


● You will be involved in the full stack design, implementation, prototyping and testing of an interface for Proa’s products and services (Automatic Weather Stations, Energy Management Systems, Forecasting Services, etc).
● Along with our software development team you will work on the control, data processing and communications software for an Automatic Weather Station.
● You will be responsible for the full-stack development of web-deployed dashboards to monitor Proa’s fleet of products deployed over solar and wind farms in Australia and abroad.
● You will be responsible for the ongoing full-stack development and upgrades to Proa’s website dashboard and REST API.


You will work collaboratively with the software, analytics and engineering teams to craft Proa’s suite of products and services.

What you'll bring:


● Strong understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, ReactJS, MaterialUI.
● Competency with version control tools, such as Git.
● Knowledge of backend technologies, such as REST API.
● Scripting, command line and operating systems administration knowledge – Windows, Linux
● Effective communication skills with strong team values.
● Strong organizational aptitude and sense of prioritisation
● Openness to learn and adapt to varied technical tasks.

● Proactive and self-driven attitude, attention to detail and the ability to make practical trade-offs based on business needs and entrepreneurial spirit.
● To be considered for this role, you must have legal rights to work in Australia.


This is great, but not required, if you:

● Systems Integration and communication technologies –REST, FTP, HTTP/S, SMTP, SNMP, SSH.
● Have knowledge of SQL databases.
● Have familiarity with cloud computing infrastructure and the Azure environment.
● Have experience with general purpose languages like Python or Matlab
● Have a real passion for renewable energy as demonstrated by previous internships, work experience or projects.
