We are a Government Owned Corporation (GOC) that owns, develops, operates and maintains the high voltage electricity transmission network in Queensland. As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you’ll help find clever solutions to interesting problems as you grow your skills every day. And you’ll do it with down-to-earth people who you’re proud to work with and get to know. Here’s how:
- Provide your technical expertise and leadership in the areas of control and high voltage control systems.
- Take responsibility for the control systems design component of the project lifecycle from scoping and estimation through to post-commissioning.
- Consult with Principal Engineers, Asset Strategies and other Powerlink stakeholders to ensure successful design, project and business outcomes and to ensure that Powerlink standards are in line with current control practices.
- Resource planning and coordination to ensure timely control systems delivery and successful project outcomes.
What you’ll bring
- A Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ).
- Demonstrated experience in control system design related document control tools and protocols including the ability to produce control system compares, backups and all related handover documentation.
- Demonstrated technical leadership expertise in Substation Secondary Systems Engineering, specifically transmission control systems. Demonstrated experience and expertise in:
- Substation and Transmission Line High Voltage Electrical Engineering
- Telecommunications Engineering
- Network Operations
