As a Program Manager, you’ll help find clever solutions to interesting problems as you grow your skills every day. And you’ll do it with down-to-earth people who you’re proud to work with and get to know. Here’s how:
- As Program Manager, you will facilitate the delivery of CAPEX and OPEX projects within every region of the Powerlink high voltage network.
- You will develop and maintain high level priority programs of projects in regions to determine impacts of projects on resources, system strength, network outages, customer impacts and many other critical aspects of project delivery.
- You will utilise your skills to influence key stakeholders across the business and contribute to the leadership of projects through active participation with project managers.
- Ensuring the most effective and efficient use of internal and external resources, you will develop a strategy for execution of all planned project work within assigned geographic areas.
- You will communicate proposed execution strategy and monitor progress for all program of works and liaise with other Program Managers to ensure cross program activities are coordinated effectively.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or allied discipline and/or
- An Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma in a relevant discipline with significant experience within a project delivery environment
- A current ‘C’ Class drivers licence
We’d also love you to have:
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects or tasks to achieve optimum outcomes (lowest cost and risk, maximising efficiency)
- Proven experience planning and scheduling complex projects within a delivery environment including managing interdependencies, resource availability and network constraints.
- A continuous improvement mindset and proven strong capability to influence varied stakeholders.
- Knowledge of high voltage power systems particularly substations, secondary systems and telecommunications.
- Demonstrated ability to apply problem solving techniques and analytical skills to overcome varied and complex situations.
