This is about you:

You can deliver circuitry, protection and other aspects of secondary systems design for assigned projects and tasks while adhering to relevant policies, standards, project budgets and timeframes.

You are confident in taking responsibility for the secondary systems and/or protection design component of the project from scoping and estimation through to post-commissioning.

You enjoy collaborating with internal designers, other design groups, design standards, delivery partners and asset investigations to ensure successful design and project outcomes.

What you can expect

You will be part of a close knit secondary systems team delivering all aspects of secondary systems design in a supportive and collaborative manner across operational and capital projects.

You will be able to work on a challenging and rewarding portfolio of transmission projects that will build on your existing power system knowledge.

You will be building your technical capability in IEC-61850 Station Bus by delivering designs that incorporate multi-vendor products.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in renewable energy connection design and will provide subject matter expert support from the concept phase through to commissioning.

You will be part of a team that will contribute to helping shape Queensland’s energy future.

What we would like you to bring to us:

You have studied a tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering and have a passion for secondary systems design. You have experience in both circuitry and protection design, ideally in a transmission environment. You are capable of managing your own design portfolio and deadlines, even when the environment becomes challenging. You get your motivation from designing smart and effective solutions for complex secondary systems problems.
