Project Commissioning Managers - HV Electrical and Telecommunications

We currently have multiple permanent career opportunities in the commissioning management of High Voltage substations and transmission lines by the Project Commissioning Manager (HV) and the management of Telecommunications and Data Network testing and commissioning activities by the Telecommunications Project Commissioning Manager.
About the role
In the role of the Project Commissioning Manager (HV) you will plan and manage all HV Electrical testing and commissioning activities across the wider project lifecycle in order to deliver Powerlink’s infrastructure works program.
In the role of the Telecommunications Project Commissioning Manager you will plan and manage all Telecommunications and Data Network testing and commissioning activities across the wider project lifecycle in order to deliver Powerlink’s infrastructure works program.
- Manage all testing and commissioning activities for high voltage substations and transmission lines or telecommunications and Data Network systems throughout Queensland safely and efficiently
- Manage development of integrated Commissioning Staging Plans and Commissioning Advice and Notices documentation
- Prepare Commissioning Schedules, Commissioning Staging Plans and Commissioning Test Plans for allocated projects.
- Management and validation of all technical specification portions of the testing and pre-commissioning components of contracts for works requiring design, construction and testing services.
- Ensure the Network Outages are managed effectively with regard to safety and efficiency.
- Overall management of site pre-commissioning and final commissioning works for each commissioning stage of a project
- Lead the test and commissioning team during the project, to ensure all testing activities occur in line with the plan.
About you
Ideally you will have a relevant Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent supported by knowledge and experience in developing, managing and executing test and commissioning plans to support the Commissioning of High Voltage infrastructure and/or associated Telecommunications system and Data Network projects is beneficial.
Evidence of your success will be a proven track record in:
- Experience in planning and organising detailed engineering projects, ideally in a high voltage transmission environment and/or within the telecommunications and / or digital technologies environment
- The effective application of safe systems of work in a Project setting resulting in safe outcomes and / or performance improvement.
You will need to demonstrate your ability to communicate openly and effectively, including the ability to influence and negotiate with various stakeholders to achieve common goals.
You will have successfully developed and maintained productive relationships with key stakeholders.
