About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly driven and capable leader to make this role their own as a Domain Architect – Applications, in our IT Workplace Technology team.

In this critical and highly visible role in, you will be responsible to provide specialist technical leadership in the selection, design, definition and implementation of IT business solutions. The majority of this role will be architecture to drive project delivery and success, with strategic and future roadmap creation. Your expertise in this space, your strong leadership capabilities and your ability to drive key relationships with stakeholders, will be relied upon to maximise business value through the most efficient IT spend.

You will learn and understand the many technologies we use, and continually refresh the roadmap and ongoing strategy for all applications.

Further responsibilities in this role:

  • The development and maintenance of the overall Workplace Technology Application strategy, including guiding the business, people, strategy, technology, and the roadmaps for success
  • Ensuring solutions adhere to our security principles and act as a point of escalation for the resolution of application architecture issues encountered on projects
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of the architecture practice, ensuring that architecture standards, policies, toolsets, and procedures are continuously improved
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring strategic principles and roadmaps are used to drive future IT project investment decisions to ensure simplification of our IT environment and cost efficiency

About you:
To succeed in this role you’ll have:

  • Excellent communication with all levels of the organisation.
  • Broad experience with on-premise and in-cloud applications and technologies including SAP
  • A good understanding of Project Management fundamentals, as well as exposure to a broad range of technical IT disciplines
  • Strong working experience in the Software Life Development Cycle (SDLC) and advanced ability to identify and resolve technical problems
  • Demonstrated strong mentoring skills and people uplift capability and proven expertise in driving change across complex stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT/Computer Science or business-related discipline preferred, as is Waterfall and/or Agile certifications
