About CitiPower & Powercor:

CitiPower and Powercor Australia are electricity distributors and supply power to more than one million Victorians. We own and manage the technology - poles, wires, meters, and distributed technologies such as storage - that deliver electricity to homes and businesses within Melbourne’s CBD, its suburbs and across central and western Victoria.

We proudly strive to provide a safe, inclusive and sustainable environment where all of our people feel respected, valued and supported to be the best they can be.

About the Role:
We are thrilled to be expanding our team with individuals that love being in a fast-paced environment, have excellent stakeholder management skills, and have exceptional customer service skills.

These positions are responsible for end-to-end customer augmentation requests and mean that no two requests or issues will be the same. Therefore, you will use your high levels of initiative, flexibility, and a key analytical eye to resolve a range of requests relative to our electricity distribution business.

Working as part of larger supportive team, this role has full training available and is a fabulous career opportunity to expand in this space. You will engage with customers to provide advice, support project applications, and ensure that compliance requirements are met. This is a technical role, however, will heavily rely on your excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to look for process improvement and initiatives.

Through the training provided you will become highly skilled in supporting customer augmentation requests to the point of offer acceptance and the coordination of customer initiated minor projects. For example, minor public lights and pole to pit.

Providing advice to customers, their representatives, and statutory authorities on AER guidelines, CIAW policies and processes, project timelines and status updates, is also paramount.

Each day you will use a wide range of skills and be able to join a supportive team with hybrid working options available to you.

What’s in it for you?

  • Great pay, plus additional overtime rates available.
  • A fun, energetic, and supportive team environment
  • Reward and recognition program and work social events
  • Peace of mind knowing that you are providing an essential and instrumental service to the people of Victoria

To secure one of these highly sought-after positions, you will possess:

  • Successful completion of VCE or equivalent, or relevant electrical industry experience and demonstrated work experience in a similar type of role
  • An ability to learn about the electricity distribution industry, as well as the relevant policies, principles, and modelling principles associated with this role
  • Be a strong communicator with excellent customer service skills, stakeholder management skills and a drive to see cases through from start to finish
  • Be an effective negotiator, be able to have tough conversations, be passionate about delivering best results, and love working in an interesting team

If you believe you have the relevant skills and would like to be considered for this role, please submit an up to date CV and covering letter outlining why you would like to work for CitiPower/Powercor by Wednesday 29th June 2022.
