A fantastic 12-months fixed term opportunity at nbn has recently become available, playing a pivotal role in bridging the digital divide in regional and remote Australia, as the Executive Manager Partner Deployment- Fixed Wireless. Reporting to the General Manager Fixed Wireless Satellite Network Delivery, you will join the Fixed Wireless and Satellite Team, a key pillar within the Regional Development & Engagement business unit.

A bit about your role

As a key member of the Fixed Wireless and Satellite Network Delivery leadership team, the Executive Manager Partner Deployment fulfills an essential role in the upgrades and builds of nbn’s fixed wireless network. Recently, the Australian Government announced an investment into nbn’s Fixed Wireless network which will help to deliver faster speeds to homes and businesses across regional, and remote Australia and this role will play a critical part in helping to achieve this outcome by upgrading our entire fixed wireless network over the coming years to next generation technology. In addition, this role will be responsible for building any new Greenfields fixed wireless towers as part of several regional connectivity programs and co-investment opportunities.

Representing all fixed wireless network upgrade and build activities conducted by nbn’s delivery partners, the Executive Manager Partner Deployment will ensure that the key programs of work are successfully delivered across the critical deployment programs in close collaboration with all key stakeholders and partners across the business. This role will be critical to ensure that the network is deployed in a timely, safe and cost-effective manager with our partners to ensure we meet our Commonwealth Government commitments and uplift customer experience across regional and remote Australia.

This role will work closely with the operations teams such as network change management, network operations and engineering to ensure all the necessary quality, acceptance and network capability requirements are met within nbn’s standards and guidelines. In addition to this extensive engagement will be required with customer and stakeholder engagement teams to ensure CX and community engagement is maintained. The successful candidate will be required to identify any key risks or issues associated within the deployment programs which may have a significant impact to CX, cost, quality and HSE.

Ensuring the day-to-day performance of delivery partners against a schedule, as well as providing insights and analysis on their performance will be a key component of this role along with the management of program change impacts with key interfaces across the business to allow for effective decision making. The role will have a HS&E leadership focus to ensure we maintain a safe working environment for both our employees and delivery partners out in the field. The emphasis will be on delivering customer experience and the future business needs for this team, budget, workforce planning and effective prioritisation of key initiatives, process and system implementation and IT spend related to the end-to-end design and Network Delivery of Fixed Wireless networks.

A bit about you

To be successful in this role you will have extensive leadership experience in large scale complex wireless programs, with significant focus on safety, cost, time and quality outcomes. In addition to this extensive experience in managing vendors and delivery partners to ensure performance measures are met, including continuous improvement and innovation to drive scale.

You will have prior experience in managing internal stakeholder groups to align decision making and achieve business outcomes, ensuring both customer experience and scale delivery outcomes are met.
