A fantastic opportunity at nbn, Australia’s largest infrastructure project, as the Manager - Treasury Accounting and Financial Reporting, reporting to the Senior Manager – Accounting Policy and Valuations within nbn’s Corporate Finance Team.
A bit about your role
As the Manager – Treasury Accounting and Financial Reporting, you will support the preparation, review and delivery of accounting and valuation practices for Treasury activities undertaken by the company. You will be responsible for delivering daily, weekly, and month-end accounting and financial reporting for treasury operations.
The role is an opportunity to work very closely with the Treasury team and will act as a trusted accounting advisor to ensure Treasury related accounting and financial reporting requirements are delivered.
In this role, you will be responsible for advising Treasury on the accounting and valuation implications and requirements for transactions, documenting hedging relationships to ensure hedge accounting is achieved and preparation of Treasury related financial statement balances and disclosures.
Additionally, this role works closely with a number of stakeholders and partners with them to further develop and implement strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role has combined accounting, controls and commercial treasury focus and includes the delivery of both key internal and external stakeholder requirements in a fast-paced environment.
A bit about you
To be successful in this role, you will be highly experienced in finance or treasury roles, at a senior level, with in a large and matrix organisation where there have been substantial treasury activities.
You will have strong ASX corporate reporting experience and/or experience working in a Big 4 accounting firm looking to move into a corporate role.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of banking, debt capital, risk markets, accounting, and finance. Additionally, a proven ability to develop complex financial models and analytics and extensive experience in treasury operations.
As the Manager – Treasury Accounting & Financial Reporting, you will bring extensive experience in treasury management systems and experience using GTreasury is highly advantageous.
We are seeking a high performer, with the ability to work across the organisation and with a wide range of senior stakeholders.
You will be highly motivated and an influential contributor to the Corporate Finance team.
CA/CPA qualified.
