The role:
As a Consultant, Protective Security, you will support and contribute to the deployment and operation of NAB’s Physical Security policies and procedures focusing on protective and physical security operations. You will have the opportunity to apply relevant specialist knowledge and experience to understand, influence and advise internal and/or external clients in relation to physical security matters
The role and Day to day will include:
- Support the Manager of Protective Security, to provide security advice and guidance to employees relating to executive protection, travel security, physical security incidents and event security.
- Provide support and guidance to the Physical Security Operations Centre for operational security matters and critical incidents, including periods of on-call.
- Lead intelligence gathering, interrogate information systems and open-source data, to conduct threat assessments and understand the security environment.
- Review data relating to security incidents, develop responses to trends, and proactively contribute to process development and improvement.
- Identify, evaluate and monitor risks that could affect business activities and provide timely insight and information to assist decision making.
- Conduct security risk assessments and apply controls to mitigate identified risks.
What you'll bring:
- Proven (5 + years) experience in incident management, risk management, intelligence, or protective security.
- Understanding of law enforcement processes and the ability to liaise with law enforcement.
- Proven experience in conducting security risk and threat assessments and a thorough understanding of risk assessment standards and methodology.
- An understanding of the international security environment, protecting travellers internationally, and impacts of international security incidents on NAB.
- Experience in providing guidance on personal safety, workplace, family or domestic violence situations.
- Relevant qualifications in security, risk management and/or industry accreditations desired.
