We currently have a permanent opportunity for a Settlement Officer to join our recently acquired Citi Bank Operations. You will support multiple vendors to facilitate the settlement process and provide assistance to the Manager in day to day running activities of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work instructions
• Validation of daily mortgage settlements
• Managing pre and post settlement requests, including late settlement requests and authorization of settlement funds.
• Process daily financial journals and reconcile settlement general ledger
• Sending documents and processing inhouse settlements
• Processing/Lodging FHOG application
• Managing team mailboxes
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly MIS for distribution to stakeholders
• Process LMI payments, reconciliation, rejects, closed accounts
• Performing Title Searches
• Security packet custodian and risk reviews
• Loan account remediation

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in the role you will need proven experience within Banking and Finance, preferably with Mortgage Processing experience.

Applicants will also be expected to have:

• Knowledge of mortgage products and features
• Understanding and knowledge of mortgage settlement and disbursement processes
• Ability to communicate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
