About the role

The role is to perform a range of routine processing/administrative activities efficiently and accurately in accordance with policies and procedures, to provide customers and business partners with a cost effective and efficient best practice service.

The FXMM Settlements Team is responsible for the settlement of all FX across multiple customer sectors including large Corporate, Institutional clients and Banks. Transactional activities include payment requests, checking, verification, input, authorising and reconciliation of payments processed via ITF, GMM and SAA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • To support the management of the process/product unit by supervising the day-to-day activities of a group of team members, ensuring that workflow is dealt with in an efficient and effective manner and to best practice or to personally control a more complex administrative process/system within the operational unit in order to provide business partners and customers with a risk controlled, cost effective and world best practice service
  • To liaise with business partners and customers, ensuring that instructions, enquiries, and queries, are acted on efficiently and effectively, seeking to always maintain effective working relationships
  • To escalate any problems, issues or risks which could potentially have a negative impact on any aspect of business operations, financial position or the level and quality of service provided to customers. e.g., reconciliation variances

Your Capabilities, Experience & Qualifications:

Success in the role will be determined by:

  • Attention to detail at a high standard
  • Constant focus on process and systemic improvements to enhance customer experience, Straight Through Processing
  • A strong focus on customer experience and handling each and every interaction, with the customer front of mind
  • Ability to cross-skill and rotate across the broader team to achieve success
  • Ability to work together in a team in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
  • Experience in working though problems to provide a positive outcome
  • Timely escalation of issues to ensure correct outcomes
  • Tertiary standard of education or above is preferred
  • Experience within a payment based operational environment.
