About the role

The C&IB Lending Operation Teams manages an $87bn+ portfolio of Loans, Bills, Guarantees and SBLC's for NAB's largest Corporate and Institutional clients in the Australia region.

As an Associate in this team, the main objective is to provide Corporate and Institutional customers with best-practice, effective and efficient lending fulfilment services with a focus on Bank Guarantees. This role plays a key role in the CIB ‘value chain’ by executing on important CIB Bank Guarantee requests for customers thereby being coming an important point of contact in the CIB business.

Acting as the '2IC’ to the Lead, CIB Bank Guarantees this role will support the team leader with work allocation, 4-eye checking, management of escalation of requests including reporting and provide SME support to the team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Utilising both the LoanIQ and eBOBS systems to assist in the ongoing administration of CIB’s bank guarantee portfolio, including the preparation and processing of issuances, exchanges, cancellations, amendments, fees and queries.
• Adhere to processes and procedures including performing all controls associated with processes to minimize errors and rework.
• Escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified.
• Monitoring and completion of daily tasks and reconciliations.

To be successful in the role, you will have the following skills and experience;

• Sound experience in Operations, ideally in managing lending transactions and/or high-volume customer requests
• Strong customer service focus with a passion in driving positive customer outcomes.
• High attention to detail ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Be an effective team-player who thrives in a team environment.
• Ability to successfully multi-task and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
