What you’ll be doing

The Domain Architect provides group wide leadership and direction for the articulation of group-wide platform architectures, standards and methods for architecture. The Domain Architect role also includes seeking technology and industry trends in combination with the enterprise business strategy to derive / improve / maintain the high level roadmap for the use of technology in the enterprise.

Core responsibilities:

• Implement new services, through established service creation process.
• Create Platform Architecture for projects and other initiatives.
• Deliver functional & non-functional service requirements as part of a fit for purpose service creation activity
• Lead development of domain strategy and roadmaps.
• Actively support the Manager of the relevant Technology Zone in developing business cases for new services
• Create & assess options/proposals to offer a solution via the service catalogue

Making sure our technology stakeholders understand key architectural implications for applications, information, infrastructure and security will be an important part of the job as well.

What we need from you

• Consult, advise and work with architecture, service providers and software development teams to design and deliver against strategic initiatives
• Create and lead Strategy and Roadmap development
• Provide Thought Leadership and provide Technology Leadership to key stakeholders
• Deep knowledge and experience of Public and Private Cloud solution offerings
• 3-5 years minimum experience working with Cloud technologies
• 5-7 years minimum experience working with enterprise infrastructure offerings
• Experience working with storage and virtualisation, compute and middleware
• Knowledge and experience with Infrastructure Automation
• Software infrastructure, infrastructure as a code, orchestration
• Working knowledge and understanding of Automation and Orchestration s tools
• Knowledge of working in an Agile Environment

We’re looking for people with at least 5 years of experience in Technology Architecture and systems development.

You need to provide strategic advice, conduct successful consultations and deliver projects across different areas of the business – so strong communication and negotiation skills are important.

Our technology departments are agile, fast-paced, which means you’ll need to be able to think on your feet and adapt quickly.
