About us

Diversity & Inclusion
At MYOB we believe in creating an environment committed to diversity and inclusion, where everyone feels supported to grow, contribute, and make an impact. Guided by our values — Hello Tomorrow, The Real Deal, and Together We Win — we work to create a culture that prioritises fairness and equal opportunity where everyone is encouraged to thrive.
All dimensions of DEI are important to us and are underpinned by our values. Due to the nature of our business, we believe we have a responsibility to focus on three key areas—Wellness, Women in Tech, and Indigenous inclusion.
Mental health is a key focus given the unique stresses often experienced by our small business customers. Through our partnership with Smiling Mind, we provide mental health resources to support our customers.
Women in Tech is a focus for us as a technology company, with our current gender split sitting at 39%, well above the industry average of 29% in Australia. We are fully committed to addressing gender disparity in the industry through programs like DevelopHer and the Women in Tech Awards.
Indigenous inclusion is essential as we operate in both Australia and New Zealand, which we bring to life through initiatives like our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
We are also proud of our community groups which help celebrate diversity and drive our inclusive culture: Pride, Planet, Wellness, Māori & Pasifika, Women in Tech, First Nations AU, Neurodiversity, and Belonging. These community groups provide platforms for team members to connect, advocate, celebrate and drive inclusion.
Values-led Culture
At MYOB, our values aren’t just words – they shape how we work, connect, and grow together. We believe culture can only thrive when it’s co-created, which is why we brought 650 team members together across Australia and New Zealand to define what matters most. This collaboration led to our three core values: Hello Tomorrow, The Real Deal, and Together We Win. These values reflect who we are and guide everything we do.
In 2024, we launched a values-led culture program to bring these principles to life in meaningful ways. Two key areas of focus emerged from the conversations with our team: strengthening innovation and embracing feedback, both essential to driving continuous improvement.
Our Strengths initiative helps team members uncover and maximise their natural talents using the CliftonStrengths framework. By building on what makes each person unique, we empower our people to thrive and contribute in ways that feel authentic and impactful.
Our Feedback program complements this by creating a culture where open and constructive conversations are second nature. Over nine months, team members build the skills to give and receive feedback effectively, supported by workshops, self-paced learning, and team-based activities.
This is just the beginning. With more initiatives planned for the future, we’re committed to continuously evolving and embedding our values to ensure they remain the heartbeat of everything we do at MYOB.
Flexperience at MYOB
At MYOB, flexible working isn’t just a policy – it’s part of who we are. We believe work should fit around life, not the other way around, which is why we empower our team members to choose when, where, and how they work best. Whether it’s flexible hours, remote work options, or part-time arrangements, our approach ensures that everyone can thrive both personally and professionally. By embracing flexibility, we foster a culture of trust, inclusivity, and balance, helping our team members bring their best selves to work and life every day.
Developer Her Scholarship
MYOB's award-winning DevelopHer Scholarship is designed to support women of all backgrounds and skill levels in launching careers in software development. In our efforts to bridge both the diversity and skills gaps that exist today, we open our scholarship to women or those who identify as such, offering paid full-time study at RMIT (as well as a supporting salary), where participants will earn a Graduate Certificate in Application Development or credits toward a Computer Science degree. After completing the course, they will transition to MYOB’s Future Makers Academy as Protege Developers, with ongoing mentorship and professional growth. DevelopHer is ideal for those with little to no software development experience, and applicants can come from any field, at any stage of their career.
