Building our Talent
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Design Manager who have a proven background in working on large scale commercial construction projects to join our South Australian business. As an integral part of the project team, you are responsible for leading and managing the development and delivery of all design aspects to ensure efficient and cost effective construction of the project.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage the development and delivery of the design aspects of a project as required
  • Lead and manage the Design team, including external consultants
  • Manage the design procurement process including programs, budgets, cost plans, scope & quality of documentation
  • Identify design opportunities and managing the associated risks
  • Provide assistance and advice on authorities approval issues
  • Ensure buildability, cost effectiveness and a high standard of finish as required
  • Ensure the delivery of a cost effective design

We are looking for candidates with tertiary qualifications in Construction Management/Architecture/Engineering, a background in design, construction and delivery processes including design management experience with a main contractor on large scale projects. Collaborating with external consultants to obtain best project outcomes, strong commercial and negotiation skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic project environment are important requirements of the role.
