CFD Modeller
You will be required to act as a CFD modeller as part of an established CFD team, serving internal and external clients over wide geographies. You'll be required to use your general purpose CFD ANSYS skills and project applications/consulting experiences from previously, to undertake high quality CFD modelling involving:
- model building from 3D CAD geometries through to CFD meshes demonstrating best practice
- capturing appropriate physics and fitting numeric representations in model setups
- undertaking high quality simulations and bug fixing where necessary
- analysing and verifying CFD results and outputs
- drawing key findings and conclusions applicable to the engineering problems being solved
You will be participating in project meetings involving internal and external clients/stakeholders, supporting the requirements of different projects that are won, either as joint efforts as part of wider integrated projects or as smaller stand-alone projects.
It is expected that you will manage your tasks effectively and efficiently, ensuring that all work is delivered to high quality and best practice standards, budgets and deliverable time scales. Frequently, projects will require close leasing with technical teams in other areas such as tunnel ventilation, fire engineering, building design, water and wind engineering, which can often be widespread geographically. You shall be expected to provide high quality reporting of your work in terms of technical notes and full study engineering reports, capturing the project deliverables in terms of methodologies employed, output results and key findings, matching client's requirements.
You will be encouraged to develop your capabilities with a view to undertaking tasks of increasing complexity in terms of technical solutions and task management. In undertaking your duties there will be continuous support provided from the CFD team and wider teams in which you be a part of.
