The Opportunity
As Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive maintenance schedules for equipment, systems, and facilities with a focus on minimising operational disruptions. This role will see you working alongside site management, operational and maintenance teams, procurement and supply, as well as both internal and external shutdown resources.
This role is a permanent role based on an 8D 6RR roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage detailed plans for preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
- Schedule work orders in alignment with production demands, ensuring minimal impact on daily operations.
- Optimise the use of personnel, materials, and tools for all maintenance tasks
- Use Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management and progress tracking.
- Collaborate with reliability engineers to assess equipment performance and implement continuous improvements.
- Lead and mentor team members, driving a culture of knowledge sharing and skill development.
What is required?
- Extensive experience in shutdown and maintenance planning.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience guiding multi-disciplinary teams.
- Thorough understanding of maintenance planning principles and asset management.
- Demonstrated experience with mineral processing plant operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Effective communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused attitude.
- Comfortable managing concurrent activities and addressing logistical challenges in remote environments.

Onslow Iron Project – Ken’s Bore
Onslow Iron is one of the largest iron ore projects under development in Australia, set to unlock billions of tonnes of stranded deposits in the West Pilbara region. Underpinning the project is the innovative supply chain including modular crushers, a 150km private, dedicated haul road, and transhippers. At the Ken’s Bore Resort, we’ve set a new standard for FIFO accommodation with 45 square metres of living space – three times the size of traditional FIFO rooms – each equipped with a queen size bed, ensuite, kitchenette, big screen TV and private laundry.
