About the role

As the Systems Integration Lead, you will play a crucial role in the X’Trapolis 2.0 (XT2) project, overseeing the integration of the new train fleet ICT systems with the various complex systems within Metro Trains Melbourne. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the seamless integration of technology solutions, systems, and applications across our infrastructure.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the new XT2 fleet ICT systems are integrated and ready for day 1 maintenance in the rolling stock maintenance business and ready for day 1 operations, specifically overseeing the integration of the Operations Control and Management System (OCMS) and Asset Management system with our existing operational and rolling stock asset management systems. Your expertise in managing multiple groups to deliver a common goal and integrating complex systems will be crucial in ensuring the seamless flow of data and information between these critical components. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure that the integration process is executed efficiently and effectively, resulting in optimised operational efficiency and enhanced maintenance capabilities for our new rolling stock fleet.

This is a 3-year max term position.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of integration methodologies, tools, and technologies.

  • Proven experience (15+ years) of large-scale transport engineering/project experience.

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in asset intensive industries (Automotive and Railway experience highly regarded).

  • Proven experience in systems integration, preferably in a transportation or infrastructure environment.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently & effectively in a fast-paced environment.
