ABOUT THE ROLE
The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible in supporting the Senior Project Manager in the delivery of discrete project sub-components of the RSG and CIS Integration projects on the Metro Tunnel Project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent Metro's interest for the State and support the Senior Project Manager by providing project management expertise in
- Achieve objectives set for the Program to support MTM strategies, business plans and customer expectations
- Apply project management knowledge and skill, tools and methodologies throughout all stage of the project life cycle including selecting the appropriate equipment, resources, services and techniques
- Identify process and operational issues with relevant stakeholders and support resolution of these issues to ensure project Integration can be accomplished to agreed performance characteristics.
- Support operational interfaces between the PPP Partners, Metro, the client and other third party stakeholders to ensure that the management of disruption occupation, subcontractors, train control, signalling, commercials, financial reporting, people management and workforce planning is maintained as per the PMP.
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary qualification in project management, engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience in Engineering, Rail, Project Management and/or Construction
- Previous experience with stakeholder engagement across multi - disciplinary organisations
- Experience with Signalling Design, Construction or Testing preferred
- Experience in a railway system operational or design environment preferred
