This is your chance to be part of an organization working on multiple projects in Victoria’s Big Build which is delivering 165 major road and rail projects, including Metro Tunnel, a second underground railway for Melbourne with 5 new stations, removal of 85 level crossings across Melbourne and the Melbourne Airport Rail.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The OCMS Project Manager is accountable for running all aspects of Escrow projects on behalf of the Sponsor and directs the project resources on a day-to-day basis. They are accountable to produce the required deliverables as specified to achieve the agreed outcomes and benefits.
The position will be responsible for the successful completion and realisation of desired business outcomes, whilst ensuring all works are performed according to OCMS compliance frameworks and to safety and security standards and other statutory/ regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Defining and developing project scope of works, including obtaining client signoff, of all business, functional and non-functional requirements
- Providing budget estimate to the Sponsor/Steering Committee and obtaining signoff
- Leading the Project Team (both direct staff and internal/external support) and providing direction in the delivery of the Project through to successful production commissioning.
- Developing and managing plans, including schedules and associated resources, to deliver the project as agreed in the business case
- Ensuring the changes to the agreed scope of works, business cases and the like are appropriately controlled and approved
- Managing the project risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions and constraints. Emphasis on timely and accurate logging of these items and autonomous prioritisation and resolution.
- Requirements management, including managing test traceability artefacts to final deliverables
- Partnering with the Metro Procurement team for the sourcing of required products and services in-line with MTM policies and procedures
- Developing and effectively managing relationships internally and externally in order to achieve business outcomes
ABOUT YOU
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Business preferred) as well as relevant course completion or certification in project management (e.g. Prince2)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management and IT industry experience
- Ability to apply the Project Management Framework process
- Ability to schedule work priorities to ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to
- Functional experience across ERP and/or Enterprise Application systems highly desirable
- Operations experience including Safety, Management of Change, Hazard analysis, Risk management, Operational Transition and acceptance, preferred.
