Bringing the iconic ales to the east of Australia, Little Creatures continues the tradition and best practice of keeping the thirst in our backyard quenched. In our Quality Team, our Microbiologist plays an important role in execution of sampling, site hygiene and problem solving to ensuring our brews remain consistent and delicious.

In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end microbiological testing, both routine and non-routine. As the site has no pasteurization, hygiene adherence is key, and you will be involved in ad-hoc hygiene improvement initiatives. As part of the administration, you will be involved with reporting of results and feeding them back to the Brewing and Packaging Teams.

The brewery operates 24hrs Monday – Friday and this role will work across daytime hours and will be based on site at the Little Creatures Brewery located in Geelong, VIC. This is a permanent full-time opportunity.

Some of the skills you will bring:

• Tertiary qualification in Microbiology or Science coupled with experience in a microbiology laboratory
• Strong adherence to processes and procedures
• Ability to engage stakeholder and bring people on a journey
• Time management with a focus on meeting daily/weekly deadlines

Some of the things you will be doing:

• End to end microbiological testing (including sampling, plating, and reading plates)
• Involvement in hygiene improvement initiatives
• Attend and participate in relevant brewery team meetings
• Support the yeast supply chain
• Complete all relevant QA administration
