Join our vibrant creative team within Marketing
This is an outstanding opportunity to join our Marketing team as a Senior Copywriter. In this role, you will report to the Creative Design Manager and be responsible for writing original and compelling short form content for Kmart’s internal and external communications including marketing, advertising and social channels.
What you’ll be doing

Be a guardian of the brand and TOV guidelines, provide input and expertise into the tone of voice strategy and program

Contribute to ideation for initiatives in response to marketing briefs.

Collaborate with teams across the business to deliver copy solutions

Write clear, compelling, and on-brand content for various mediums across Kmart’s brand including digital media, EDMs, social and internal communications

Edit and proofread copy as needed. Manage copy proofs, feedback and job tracking.

Contribute to ideation for initiatives in response to marketing briefs

Work both independently and closely with an Art Director to conceptualise and contribute to through-the-line and digital campaigns

Proactively bring innovation, ideas and influence creative results
To be successful in this team you will have:

Bachelor Degree or relevant industry experience
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Significant industry experience working on digital and through-the-line large scale end to end campaigns.

Solid understanding of how digital content is consumed and presented - A sound knowledge of SEO techniques and principles.

Understand sales and marketing strategies and objectives to inform creative copy outputs.

Relevant copywriting experience from a brand or agency environment, preferably experience in retail.

Long and short form copywriting experience, with the ability to understand brand personality, position and tone of voice.
