The Role:
This hands-on Transition Manager role is responsible for managing client unit registry transitions and delivering these requirements with passion and in a high quality, timely and accurate manner. Transition Managers ensure the project is completed on time and within budget, that the project's objectives are met, via a group of people working together to achieve a set of specific objectives.
The scope of the role covers responsibility for Fund Manager transition projects, including all aspects of a project from the planning stage through to implementation, liaising and working with registry teams, fund managers, custodians and third party vendors. The Transition Manager is responsible for ensuring all tasks associated with a project are completed, other teams are communicated to and are aware of the timing of the projects. Transition Managers must be comfortable with participating in, and driving operational process design with clients, in conjunction with Business Analysts and Registry Specialists.
What you will be doing:
Agreeing project objectives, effectively scoping each project
Setting the standards and methodology to be used in a project
Taking responsibility of projects through their entire lifecycle
Communicating with stakeholders to clarify the desired outcome of a project
Ensuring that all relevant processes are followed on projects
Administering the allocation of jobs and budgets on a project
Managing project personnel to achieve project objectives
Regularly review and analyse the project scope and submitting progress reports to stakeholders and senior managers
Stakeholder management, both internal and external
Identifying project risks
Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
What you will need:
More than 5 years experience within the Financial Services industry, preferably in the Funds Management, Unit Registry or Custodial Services sector
Experiencing using Jira or a similar ticketing system
Stakeholder management experience, both internal and external
Familiarity with project governance
Presentation skills and be comfortable presenting to clients
Experience overseeing various streams of a project or transitions and client onboarding
