We are looking for a focussed and creative individual to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to join us at Three Bridges Rail Operating Centre where we are responsible for the real time delivery of all Southern, Thameslink, Gatwick Express and Great Northern services.

You will be responsible for leading the delivery of the training, learning and development strategy for Network Operations whilst driving alignment, capability, competence and productivity. This role focuses on supporting the competency framework and management for capacity planning, undertaking assurance, competence and certification for our employees, delivery of assessment training and provides support to Network Operations staff. This role also is responsible for the line management of three Network Operations apprentices to ensure they are supported throughout their apprenticeship and developed sufficiently also allocating their workload, managing their performance, etc. Responsible for developing strong relationships and credibility with stakeholders across organisations, this individual demonstrates and champions transformational leadership and helps embed the right culture and behaviours through multiple initiatives. Managing the Joint Role Mentor Scheme for GTR, Network Rail and ARL to ensure the coaching capacity and competence of peer trainers is sufficient. You will look after employee engagement, wellbeing and diversity and inclusion initiatives, working to ensure Network Operations is a supportive and inclusive environment with a great focus on non-technical skills and behaviours (NTS).

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be an excellent communicator and able to speak professionally and confidentially to staff at all levels. You'll already be a member of the CIPD and have a keen interest in personal and professional development. You'll be a dynamic self-starter with exceptional attention to detail. You'll exhibit professional behaviours and commit to championing diversity and inclusion initiatives.
