Our Opportunity
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Engineer (or suitably experienced Project Engineer), to join our Western Construction team to support our RAAF Base Pearce Project, located in Bullsbrook, WA. The project is approximately 18 months in duration and include significant upgrades to existing airfield asphalt pavements, concrete pavements, drainage, and airfield ground lighting (AGL) infrastructure.
You will be responsible for ensuring the new Airfield Lighting Equipment Room (ALER) building, site wide upgrade to the Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) system, and other selected work scopes are delivered in accordance with time, cost, and quality objectives.
As a key member of the delivery team, you will:
- Lead the procurement, detailed planning and package delivery ;
- Manage the detailed design process for a propriety fuel storage and delivery system;
- Have broad multi-disciplinary experience and management capability for the subcontract delivery of new (AGL) infrastructure and ALER Building inclusive industrial building (200m2), electrical, communications, mechanical, hydraulics, drainage, civil and finishing works;
- Work with key stakeholders and supply chain to develop and implement all necessary commissioning and handover processes and deliverables for multi-disciplinary works in accordance with relevant specifications, standards and Defence Estate requirements.
Let's Connect
You will hold a Bachelor's Degree in either Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering, and have demonstrated experience in project delivery across mid to large scale civil projects, preferably with relevant experience at airfields/airports and on Defence projects.
Advanced communication skills, excellent organisational ability, and extensive technical and multi-disciplinary experience, will be required, as is resilience, adaptability and confidence in decision making .
Naturally, you will also be a dedicated leader and mentor, one who priorities safety for all, and who will commit to high productivity whilst ensuring project scope is successfully met on time and within budget.
