Senior Hotel Account Manager - Hotwire
The Hotel Account Manager will play a key role on Hotwire’s Global Hotel Team by ensuring hotels in primary markets are maximizing their opportunities by providing rates and inventory availability to Hotwire.com. They will be responsible for both day-to-day functional aspects, as well as planning for the long-term growth of a Hotwire Primary Market which includes 200+ hotel suppliers. This entails building revenue growth, developing and sustaining strong hotel partner relationships, and proactively finding opportunities in the assigned markets. As part of the Hotwire Supply Team, they will regularly collaborate with other teammates, but will also work independently on individual projects and markets. They will also work in partnership with other Teams, including Hotwire Global Accounts Managers and broader Expedia Group Market Management teams.
This market based role requires the ability learn and adapt quickly, to develop, implement and refine new strategies regularly and to consistently deliver results in a time-sensitive environment. Previous experience with interpreting data is helpful, as this position requires an appetite for looking at numbers. Most important is the ability to sell the Hotwire value proposition to hotels, communicate optimally with partners, be a self-starter and independently act upon opportunities to move the business forward. The ability to develop small-scale project plans and inform partners and teammates with progress updates is also critical to success in this role. Daily functions include communicating with hotels, colleagues and making suggestions on how to grow the business in the assigned market(s).
What you'll do:
Deliver revenue and/or acquisition goals through management of inventory and rates. Work with hotels to acquire high-quality inventory with great deals in assigned markets. Increase inventory levels through acquisition and maintain inventory quality through ongoing account management
Analyze inventory strength and develop strategies and techniques for optimizing Hotwire sales opportunities for unsold rooms in the last-minute window. Exceed revenue, room night, and other business targets
Fully understand and be able to articulate the value of Hotwire's brand to hotel partners and consumers
Provide impactful reporting analysis and insights to partners at the property level to implement solutions that achieve strong market performance and long-term strategic goals
Monitor and maintain Hotwire inventory levels, and improve inventory quality within assigned markets
Understand Hotwire Connectivity systems and support hotels with questions on usage of the system.
Work with colleagues, internal teams, and independently to develop Hotwire promotional materials to be sent out to external partners
Run and audit data integrity on accounts and static hotel data, and regularly update the systems accordingly
Consistently provide outstanding supplier relations and support to Hotwire partner hotels
Conduct face-to-face meetings with hoteliers in assigned region, traveling up to 50% of time
Collaborate closely with internal LPS Market Managers to drive strategies for assigned region
Who you are:
Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Salesforce and Looker a plus
Ability to travel 50% of time to assigned regions
Ability to drive within assigned territory
2+ years’ experience in an account management, sales or OTA market management role
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; or equivalent related professional experience

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
