About the role

As Senior Mine Geologist, at our East Kundana mine site, reporting to the Superintendent – Mine Geology, you will provide leadership to a team of underground mine and project geologists. Key result areas in this role include:

• Developing and implementing of in-mine exploration strategies.
• Overseeing the underground Mine Geology function by planning and scheduling in-mine geological activities to ensure business plans are achieved safely.
• Mentoring and supporting the professional development of the team.
• Contributing to the EOM, quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
• Assisting with forecast and budget cycles by tracking expenditure and managing geological drilling contractors.
• Overseeing geological grade control processes to ensure a high standard of QAQC is maintained.
• Prepare and maintain grade control and geological models (wireframing and estimation) in conjunction with the Senior Resource Geologist.

About you

As Senior Mine Geologist you will work as part of the Geology team at Mungari Gold Mine. It is important that you have / can demonstrate:

• Tertiary qualification in Geology – postgraduate qualification highly regarded.
• Experience with project management with an emphasis on managing diamond drilling contractors.
• Understanding of mining geology, including gold sampling, ore deposits geochemistry, structural geology and grade modelling.
• 3D modelling software experience
• Knowledge of statutory acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values.
• Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
