Downer PipeTech business as part of Downer Water Services currently delivers sewer / stormwater pipe repairs and rehabilitation utilising CCTV and trenchless technology for water authorities and other local government bodies. This team primarily focus’ on the Sydney Water network repairs contract as a business that has a good reputation in the industry and great team culture.

THE ROLE:

Downer Pipetech team is currently seeking CCTV and Robotics Operators/Offsiders that are familiar with or willing to learn the Wastewater, Sewer and Water Industry. These roles are pivotal to support the NSW Operations team.

Based out of Eastern Creek, the main responsibility of these roles is to provide water/wastewater pipeline rehabilitation services utilising CCTV, Robotics and Point Lining for the following clients Sydney Water Corporation (SWC); Local Government Authorities; Regional councils and miscellaneous Contractors.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the operations of CCTV and Robotic/Junction Cutter Unit to service sewer and stormwater rehabilitation works.
• Operate CCTV camera and push camera equipment.
• Ability to plan and prioritise tasks for the day and work unsupervised.
• Ability to coach develop other offsiders.
• Perform basic maintenance of CCTV and robot equipment.

ABOUT YOU

• Experience within pipe rehabilitation (highly advantageous but not essential)
• Experience in the operation of pipe robotic units and CCTV plant and equipment.
• Point Liner installation exposure.
• Truck Licence (MR or HR highly advantageous) and reliable transport.
• White card.
• Flexible availability dependent on project requirements.
• You may have a keen interest in Gaming, drones etc. and are looking to build a career relating to your personal interests.
