We are looking for a talented Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our rail division servicing our locomotive clients across their West Melbourne, Dandenong and Ballarat depots and support our Laverton workshop.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways\:

  • Perform scheduled, preventative and break down maintenance on our clients QSK19’s and B6 diesel engines with our valued clients
  • Ensure our customers are back up and running safely and efficiently
  • Perform on site diagnostics
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the Rail Supervisor
  • Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets and quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

To be successful in this role you will need the following\:

  • A Heavy Diesel trade qualification,
  • Previous field services experience would be highly recommended but not essential
  • Previous electrical experience is highly recommended but not essential
  • Experience in the service and maintenance of HHP heavy diesel products
  • Comfortable working autonomously and responding to work at short notice
  • Have an engaging work approach and strong customer service focus
  • Highly developed diagnostic and IT capabilities,
  • A mature attitude and logical and methodical approach to your work.
