Your business unit

Enterprise Services (ES) is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.

Within Enterprise Services, IBB ES (Institutional Business and Banking) ES provides consulting services, portfolio management, program & project delivery, and organizational change management functions. The team also has operational accountabilities – managing the lifecycle of IT assets that are mission critical in supporting our customers.

Your team

As part of our Institutional Banking and Markets team Enterprise Services team you will take ownership of ensuring that the IT systems utilised across several core-banking services are reliable, efficient, secure and most importantly enables our staff to execute good outcomes for our customer.

As a member of this team, you will also help ensure that our ‘change the bank’ activities are fully embedded in order to meet our industry obligations and exceed group performance expectations.

Your role

As the project manager – PMO, day to day you will work collaboratively with a senior project manager, product owners, team members and program manager on a core institutional banking platform transformation. This platform will be front and centre of our commitments as a financial services provider to provide the most secure, reliable and appropriate products to our business customers.

You will work to support the project leadership team and ensure the project is run efficiently using strong project management disciples such as change control processes, status reporting, financial control, agile reporting, risks and issues tracking and other governance controls. You will hold yourself and your team to account for delivering the project using a structured and methodical approach.

This role would suit someone with a strong background in working within a PMO function. This also represents a fantastic opportunity for a mid level project manager, with passion and ambition, to work on a cutting edge technology platform.

Your experience

• Project Management Experience of 3 years +
• Previous experience defining and implementing PMO processes with SME stakeholders
• Supporting projects as a project officer with budgets greater than $5 million
• Knowledge and experience in using industry recognised project management and/or solution delivery methodologies including Agile.
• Ability to document and present key PMO concepts to senior stakeholders.
• Good to have awareness or exposure to business and systems supporting Institutional Lending across syndicated and bilateral loans.
