To understand our merchandising, we need to understand our customers. That’s why you’ll find us working across all business units at Coles Supermarkets and liquor. Supermarkets is one of the largest teams at Coles, but we’re a close-knit group that come from all over the world. We’re passionate about working at the forefront of merchandising and making sure our customers have quality products at the right price.
About the role
As a Senior Merchandise Planner and part of the wider Health & Home portfolio within the Events team in General Needs reporting to the Business Category Manager, you will lead a team and work cross-functionally internally and externally to ensure all KPIs are met.
Utilising your proven people leadership and strategic approach and leaning on your analytical skills, you will help to influence and provide recommendations to the category strategy, based on insight and trends. You will help to ensure the right products are in the right stores, at the right time.
About you and your skills
You will lead, coach and mentor a small team and partner with varied stakeholders across this portfolio. Bringing your experience with working with hard goods will be beneficial.
- Proven people leadership experience within a Merchandise Planning role, or similar
- Exceptionally organised, self-motivated, and strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate and influence effectively across all areas of the business
- Demonstrated experience in leading transformational change
- Experience in confidently presenting to senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to partner with multiple stakeholders and effectively manage expectations
- Advanced Windows skills
