We’re looking for an exceptional Outbound Planning Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the National Outbound Planning Manager. This is an exciting permanent career prospect for a passionate individual working to support continuous improvements
About the role
You’ll take responsibility for managing Outbound Volumes and Store Delivery rosters across our network of distribution centres(DC) and stores . A large part of this is supporting DC’s and stores to achieve volumes within their capacity to manage. You will also be:
- Effectively negotiating across stakeholders in managing rosters and volume changes
- provide a strategic review of rosters and volumes across network to optimise cost and service working across Stores, Transport, and DCs and communicate roster and volume changes to impacted logistics and store teams
- forecasting and resolving Outbound demand breaches ahead of time
- working with Distribution centres and Operations team to maintain balanced Volumes and store delivery roster frequency end to end
- ensuring Store Operations, logistics and business units are aligned to rosters and volume flow for public holidays and major events in timely manner
- lead the delivery of specific initiatives to improve the Outbound flow of goods
About you and your skills
- an understanding of end-to-end supply chain, logistics processes and store operations would be beneficial
- a strong problem-solving ability coupled with the capacity to identify areas for continuous improvement
- the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment across all levels of the organisation
- high attention to detail and accuracy
- strong Stakeholder, time management, organisational and communication skills, along with a strong customer and team focus will also see you excel in this role
- an advanced level of expertise utilising MS Excel to manage and analyse data
- Strong working knowledge of MS office and PowerPoint
- the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholder groups (internally and externally)
- a familiarity with working in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
