Clough currently has an opportunities for experienced Electricians and Instrumentation Technicians to join our Shutdown Team in PNG on Lihir Island. Reporting to the Project Execution Manager or area supervisor, you will apply best practice skillsets, critical thinking skills, work with our team of expats, nationals and our client to drive positive and sustainable outcomes for all.

  

Shutdown dates are approximately from the 14th February 2023 to the 26th of March 2023, all applicants will need to be available from these dates and flexible to leave a little earlier or later as per client requirements.

Your focus will include:  

  • Removal and reinstatement of electrical and instrumentation equipment

  • Disconnection and reconnection of pumps, motors and switches, cables and lighting

  • Work along side a team of expats and nationals working as one cohesive team to delivery the project scope

  • Safe and timely delivery of the project scope in adherence australian standards and best practice

  

What you will bring to the team:  

  • Previous experience in a similar position on a shutdown on a gold mine or within the Mining sector preferably in PNG or similar remote environment

  • Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate

  • Ability to produce or willing to receive required vaccinations for travel to PNG

  • Current national police clearance no older than 6 months

  • Hold a current Australian passport (with at least 6 months validity)

  • Current Electrical Licences (Unrestricted from any Australian state)

  • Current LVR/ CPR Certificate

  • Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation – Instrumentation applicants only

  • Ability to FIFO from a major Australian International airport
