About the role
If you are an experienced desktop engineer with demonstrated professional experience capable of delivering the job requirements listed below and want to be part of a team that is always innovating solutions & keeping the customer needs at the forefront with a desire to deliver top quality service then apply now.
This role involves both project delivery and BAU support functions and may occasionally require some out of hours work depending on business requirements.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Technical skills: SCCM, Windows Desktop OS (Windows 10), Active Directory, Group Policy. Expertise in Pulse Secure VPN & Ivanti is desirable.
- Environmental: be able to follow existing processes, manage your priorities, proactive in your role and operate within defined boundaries whether working from the Cenitex office or onsite customer locations.
- Soft skills: communication skills, stakeholder management, documentation and time management.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to be involved in:
- SOE management - build & maintenance of various SOE profiles
- Application management - packaging and updates
- Patch management - routine and ad hoc
- Managing SCCM Server/Client version lifecycle
- Windows 10 troubleshooting and management
- Desktop hardware troubleshooting
- Desktop socialisation activities
- Responding to BAU tickets and managing escalations from other support teams
- Delivering to the scope of defined project activities
- Other related areas of the role such as Problem Management and delivering Change requests
- Managing customer / stakeholders expectations to achieve a mutually acceptable and beneficial outcome
