The Role

Our Merredin team are seeking motivated and safety conscious individuals to join our team as Receival Point Operators (RPO) on a permanent, full-time basis.

This frontline role plays a major part in our supply chain working with Growers, Contractors and Team members to sustainably create and return value to Growers.

This role will require movement between the Receival sites in Area 8 which include Merredin, Hines Hill, Nungarin, Warralakin, Burracoppin, Carrabin, Bodallin, Moorine Rock and Southern Cross

Responsibilities include:

  • Operate plant and equipment to move and store bulk grain.

  • Safely receiving, storing, and out-loading grain.

  • Sampling and assessing the grain including identifying contaminated grain.

  • Maintaining the condition of grain within the storage system through hygiene activities.

  • Operating and maintaining equipment in a safe and hygienic manner.

Roster & Accommodation

The roster is currently Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work (voluntary).

Please note that some sites require availability and willingness to work nightshift.

Accommodation is available with 1 & 2 bedroom apartments available in Merredin.

Location – Merredin

Merredin is the major commercial and retail hub for the eastern Wheatbelt, situated 260 kilometres, just 3 hours east from Perth. It is known primarily for agriculture with 40% of WA's wheat coming from within a 100 km radius of the area. The area is serviced daily by the TransWA Prospector Train that runs from Perth to Kalgoorlie and is a bustling little town with lots happening for all ages. About You:

  • Hold an unrestricted and valid driver’s licence (HR class desirable).

  • Have own reliable vehicle.

  • Exhibit a strong dedication to working safely.

  • Be deemed physically fit in accordance with the CBH operational worker pre-employment medical.

  • Be able to work at heights, in confined spaces and in areas with a high grain dust concentration.

  • Possess basic computer skills.

  • Be able to work in a team environment and communicate well with peers.

  • Live or be willing to relocate to Merredin or within close proximity.
