Facilities Team Leader

About the role:
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Team Leader to join our growing team. If you have experience in managing a team to success and leading the coordination and management of building maintenance activities within the infrastructure and facilities space, this role is for you!
The Facilities Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day management of facility operations and oversight of soft service contracts at the Lilydale campus. Key accountabilities include the coordination of building maintenance activities, contract and contractor management, project support and service delivery such as managing classroom and equipment set up, response to facilities work orders, compliance with OHS standards, oversight of work quality, contract deliverables and reporting.
In this role you will work closely with other members of the infrastructure team and be responsible for a high standard of service delivery to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided to students and staff, ensuring operations are aligned with regulations and contract deliverables.
This position is based on-site at Lilydale campus and may be expected to work at Box Hill, the City campus or across any campus of the Box Hill Institute as required.
About You:
- Qualification in Facilities Management or related discipline desirable
- Demonstrated experience in facilities management; managing a range of facility projects and resources
- Ability to manage external service providers/contractors in a related industry
- Experience using Work Order Management systems and Building Management Systems
- Demonstrated experience managing and monitoring budgets, along with proven ability to anticipate and manage risk
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders and analyse issues from different perspectives in order to propose workable solutions to problems in a productive manner
