Customer Service Officer
The role:
Due to the current demands and forecast growth of our business for 2021, we are looking for experienced Customer Service Officers for our South East Queensland Concrete product stream. You will be responsible for placing, confirming and scheduling orders across our SEQ Quarries/Concrete business. This is a busy, high-volume role based in our Kelvin Grove office with shifts starting from 5.30am to 8:45am on a rotating roster. We are looking for both casual and permanent roles.
Key duties:
- Answer inbound customer calls and order concrete products as per specification;
- Program work orders with concrete plants and agitator trucks for the following day, in conjunction with the allocations team;
- Provide product information and quotes to the customer and enter quotes and job details into the allocation software, Command;
- Field and manage customer complaints in a timely and effective manner;
- Utilise lowest cost mix options to satisfy customer needs and whilst offering additional products and services, i.e. fibres, colours and testing and,
- Build strong, ongoing relationships with all customers and internal stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in an inbound call centre environment with experience in the construction industry highly regarded;
- Exceptional level of attention to detail;
- A strong customer focus with well-developed communication skills ;
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player and the ability to work unsupervised;
- Available to work Monday to Saturday starting from 5:30am to 8:45am on a rotating roster, and
- Local knowledge of the SEQ region along with sound understanding of transport, logistics and the construction materials industry will be highly regarded.
