About the Role
We are currently looking for a Dewatering Technician to join our Dewatering Operations team at Jimblebar Mine Site.
This is an opportunity for an energetic team player. With demonstrated ability to thrive in dynamic work environments, you will be responsible for the installation, removal and operations of all dewatering equipment and abstracting water through bores and sumps. In this role you’ll fly-in, fly-out from Perth to Newman on 8 days on, 6 days off roster. Based at our Jimblebar mine site, you will be part of BHP’s first fully autonomous haulage site.

About You
To be considered for the role we are seeking those with the following tickets and skillsets:
- West Australian manual C class driver’s licence
- HR Licence (preferred)
- Dogman (DG) or Rigger (RG)
- Crane CV minimum (C6 preferred)
- Poly welding (Butt and Fusion)
Other additional experience, skills and knowledge considered desirable:
- Trade certificate - Mechanic, Plumber, or Fitter - preferred
- Pump overhaul – centrifugal type, experience
- Exposure working in mining, in a Dewatering team
- Installation and removal production bores, sump/transfer pumps
- Experience welding poly pipe
- Skilled in operating heavy vehicles such as loader, backhoe, tele-handler, semi-trailer
- Working at heights
- Experience working with work management program SAP
