About the Role
We are seeking Servicepersons who have experience with servicing, maintaining or refuelling of heavy equipment such as Haul Trucks, Dozers, Graders and Excavators. These positions are across BHP's Iron Ore and Nickel West Assets across Western Australia working on either a 7/7 or 2/1 roster. You will be responsible for completing scheduled and breakdown maintenance to all heavy mobile equipment as well as conducting preventative maintenance inspections.
Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, some of your duties will include:
- Complete general preventative maintenance tasks on heavy mining equipment including services and component change outs
- Check and complete oil components
- Detect maintenance defects on machinery during planned services
- Assist tradespersons with outages and general day to day duties
About You
You will be someone who works productively in a team environment following specific maintenance programs and procedures, effective communication skills and actively identifies opportunities for continuous improvement whilst always working in a safe and productive manner.
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:
- Experience as a Service Technician or Service Person in a mining or heavy industry environment
- A valid Australian C Class Manual Drivers Licence
- Certificate II in Servicing Technology or similar qualification is disrable but not essential
- Forklift Licence, Dogging and Rigging Tickets, Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platform is highly desirable
- The ability to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with specific tasks and procedures
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Motivation to learn and develop new skills
- The ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere within the work group
- Proven commitment to safety
- Confidence to speak up when others put themselves or others at risk
