About the Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Security Superintendent to join the WA Iron Ore (WAIO) Security and Emergency Management (SEM) team. This is a crucial role, which will assist us in leading and managing our ‘on the ground’ security teams throughout our operations and residential areas across the Pilbara.
Reporting to the WAIO Security & Emergency Management Manager, this is a Perth based Mon – Fri position with some travel required to our Pilbara locations. Flexible work options will be considered.
You will be required to:
- Provide leadership, coaching, and expert advice to the operations team, their direct reports and key stakeholders on all Security matters
- Execute WAIO’s Security and Emergency Management strategic intent
- Manage and provide expertise on security management practices to improve organisational security outcomes and performance.
- Support the implementation and compliance to the security emergency response critical control
- Respond to and improve the effectiveness of security response services to uplift organisational capability in managing emergencies/incidents.
- Maintain security reporting, execute data integrity and governance activities
- Ensure responses to security incidents and or emergencies are in alignment with protocols and company procedures
- Enable compliance to on-site security controls and Security control ownership
- Manage and leverage stakeholder expectations across a large portfolio
- Maintain service delivery requirements through disciplined execution
- Enhance team culture through the empowerment of our people
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in a related field (Security Risk Management, Security Risk intelligence etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams
- Experience with business improvement methodology and processes
- Exposure to security risk management practices and programs
- Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and performance at both operational and senior management levels
- Experience engaging and managing a broad stakeholder group
- Excellent understanding of security regulatory environment.
